Board Responsibilities
1. Set Chamber of Commerce
policy 2. Formulate the Business
Plan, approve the budget, take action on committee
recommendations, and adopt policies for the general
operation of the Chamber
3. Maintain close contact with members of the Chamber
and with other community leaders
4. Establish investment guidelines to meet income
needs
5. Mobilize the membership’s resources and talents to
achieve Chamber goals and objectives by:
a) Tapping into the talents and energies of the
members enlisted in committee work
b) Setting objectives for each committee
c) Assuring responsibility and authority of
committees as defined
6. Employ Chief Executive Officer who shall serve
until removed by the Board
7. Approve or disapprove all applications for
membership
