A high quality of life and a can-do attitude help make Brownsville a center for technology, industry and distribution. A pro-business climate, up-to-date industrial parks and a well-developed infrastructure are among the reasons Brownsville is experiencing solid economic growth.

  REAL ESTATE

Brownsville is ready to work with new companies on long-term leasing and site preparation assistance, build-to-suit plants, tax abatements, training assistance and start-up expense assistance. The Airport Industrial Park has sites available with Foreign Trade Zone, which has generous leasing, and tax abatement options.

The location selected for a business will be one of the most critical of all decisions an owner will make. A well planned location can be the deciding factor in making company a success.

First of all, one must decide whether to rent, lease, buy, or build. This decision will depend largely on businesses plans for the future and the amount of money an owner is willing to in-vest in a facility. At the same time, one should consider the following physical needs of the planned business:
  • How much parking will be needed?
  • Will loading docks, over-head doors or other types of truck access be needed? How much storage is needed?
  • How much square footage is needed? Does the business have the potential to expand in the future?
  • What type of building construction wanted?
  • Is the infrastructure of the building adequate to support the businesses needs?
The Chamber encourages businesses looking at Brownsville to consult with a member real estate agent. These professionals are well-trained to help you with your property needs.
