New dining establishments continue to open around
Brownsville and expand your dining options. Many national
and regional name restaurants provide service in Brownsville
and include steakhouses, seafood, barbeque, and American and
Italian classics.
From casual fajita tacos to quesadillas, nachos to guacamole
and salsa, Brownsville offers a variety of dinning venues.
Visitors will find the most authentic delicacies including
the tender charbroiled goat (cabrito) with handmade corn
tortillas. To complement a good meal, don’t forget to order
the world-famous Mexican Margarita or an ice-cold cerveza.
On the south side of the Rio Grande River, the restaurants
of Matamoros are very accessible and serve up an ample
variety of Mexican cuisine.
